The system goes beyond defect visualization by providing not only defect detection but also automatic defect classification and sorting. The innovative approach lies in the combination of optical technologies and advanced software engineering. It identifies and classifies defects such as lathe marks, scratches and chipped edges with high precision. 

In addition, the high-resolution camera provides precise dimensional measurements, including lens diameter and specific features. The OCR (Optical Character Recognition) module also detects, reads and checks engraved text on lenses.
