Industrial pyrometers: high-performance, robust & precise

Industrie-Pyrometer für extreme Bedingungen

Industrial temperature measuring devices are often exposed to demanding conditions such as high temperatures, dust, moisture, or electromagnetic interference. The thermoMETER UC (Universal Controller), SE (Separate Electronic), and FI (Fully Integrated) product series meet all these challenges with a robust metal housing and excellent temperature stability – even at high ambient temperatures. The new generation of pyrometers enables fast, precise, and non-contact measurement of surface temperatures from −50 to +1100 °C, offering exceptional signal quality and stability.

More efficiency – less effort
Compared to previous models, the new thermoMETER series offers significantly simplified installation and integration. Robust plug-in connections are now used instead of the previously used screw terminals. These ensure noticeable time savings during installation, minimize wiring errors, and simplify service and replacement processes. In addition, the pyrometers have a directly integrated RS485 interface, which means that external modules or additional components are not required. Another advantage is the "on-board" field bus support. The direct integration of common field bus protocols makes it even easier to integrate the devices into modern automation and control systems. Users benefit from smooth communication with PLC systems, lower hardware costs, and overall greater efficiency during system operation.

High-performance, modern, innovative
With a temperature resolution of 50 mK, the pyrometers measure extremely precisely and, thanks to a short response time of 20 ms, also very quickly. The three variants differ primarily in their design and therefore in their possible applications: The high-performance UC variant with a remote, robust controller for high temperature ranges, the miniature SE variant with a miniaturized controller in the cable for simpler installation, and the fully integrated compact FI solution with the sensor and controller in one housing. Further advantages are the parallel digital and analog operation and the integrated alarm function. All models are preset at the factory and ready for immediate use. Users benefit from simple calibration and parameterization options as well as extensive signal processing and setting options via the sensorTOOL software.
